There are two major International golfing events planned in or around Edinburgh in the next 18 months, the 2013 UK Open Golf Championship and the 2014 Ryder Cup. 

The 2013 Open Golf Championship

14th - 21st July 2013

Between 14th to 21st July 2013, The Open Championship returns to Muirfield. The 142nd Open Championship will see the worlds' greatest golfers gather to compete for the famous Claret Jug on the east coast of Scotland on one of Scotland's finest links courses.

The 2014 Ryder Cup

26 - 29 September, 2014

In 2014, The PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles will be the setting for The Ryder Cup - one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
